If they try to do all the things that they plan on releasing at the same time (OS, Orkut, and there are news about a feature similar to that of VOIP), the features may not come out perfect.

The major difference is that this isn’t a social networking site. Chatting and personal communication between members is actually against the community guidelines.
I active in orkut before, but not currently because I cannot see many of my friend join in.
I believe social network is not famous in all over the world. One social network only famous for one particular countries while other social network will famous in other part of the world.
For example Myspace is very famous in US, but they are not famous in Asia.

Google always known for best services but Orkut one the best from Google but still Google not get much famoused like Myspace or Facebook so need to be compete with all Major Social Media sites.
Orkut is great…My friend actually made me sign up there. At first I think its only plain and very simple…But as I get to know it, it’s very cool and a nice place to hang out with friends.

Google is aiming for nothing short of world domination and it is imperative that internet marketers know how to use it to our advantage.
