There many ways to get more traffic to our web site, and get more sales, If you have any products to sell, Traffic means money, right?. I think you should try one of the best web site promotion called forum marketing.
Marketing means building and mainting good relationships with others. And with online marketing means we should build an element of trust between the potential purchaser and you as the vendor or web site owner. Once we have the element of trust, even the tiniest bond that has between the potential buyer and seller, it becomes easier for the potential buyer to take a further step to buy our product. That is why many marketers are using forum boards and blogs to interact with clients and to provide support and to answer queries. This can also build our brand and images to our potential costumers.
First we need to make a list of the forums that are related to our product or service that we are going to market. Then on a daily basis, visit these forums to read their postings. These forums are the best sites where newbies to internet marketing seek free resources, or request information or advice from more experienced forum users. When we see a post where we can respond, make a brief informative post, and more importantly make sure we leave a reference to our web site in our signature line. This gives us two advantages. First, we can gain a backlink to our site when we leave our website address in hightly visited forum, and secondly, every forum users who read our post will tend to visit our web site by following the link in our post or in our signature line.
Some internet marketers leads all their visitors to a squeeze page and not to a sales website directly. This squeeze page is a sign up page where we get the email address of the visitor in return for a free download of a ebook or report or software. By using this squeeze page, we gain targeted leads.
Some Statistics show a potential buyer would need to be exposed at least 3 to 5 times before he becomes interested to take the next step to purchase anything from us. By getting his email, we can email him on a regular schedule or use an autoresponder.
The most important part of forum marketing is to identify a group of marketing forums related to our product or services that we are selling, from which we can then introduced. Once we have the list of forums and discussion boards, make it to becomes our daily rutine to spend enough time to visit these forums and to post to them.

I’ve had mixed results with my forum marketing efforts. No doubt, it is a powerful medium. The problem becomes the spammers who post unrelated nonsense just to get a backlink. It’s always the lazy IM that messes up backlinks and marketing for all of us. Relevant content should always be king in any commenting effort.

I like the tips you’ve given here. Forum marketing is not an avenue I’ve explored. I’m currently trying to get my site up there at the top of Google, this should bring in plenty of traffic but if it fails I’ll refer back to this article and try forum marketing.

I like using forums too, but the search engines, don’t put that much weigh on them. Also google is starting to de-index websites that are creating backlinks too fast! I guess this is there way of getting rid of spam. They are also de-indexing pages that have the same anchor text using one word, so if you do use forums to get traffic, it is important you change the anchor text in your forum’s signature

It is good practice interact on a regular basis so that people remember us. However there is a fine line with visiting regularly and overdoing it. The problem is they are addictive and so we stay in there too long. Just go in look around post a few times and then go, this venture is a business not a hobby.

Forum marketing is indeed useful to give exposure to a great product. Most people mistake forum marketing with registering on 100 forums and setting up signatures. It’s much better to register in 2-3 forums, be active there, get reputation and people will follow what you say. (including following your affiliate links) :))

That’s a very revealing statistic about the potential purchaser needing to be exposed to a brand 3-5 times before actually buying something. I always thought it was a misconception that many webmasters think online sales don’t require personal interaction or cultivation.
