In the 1980s, the Kauffman Foundation began operating programs designed to promote positive youth development and help young people realize their full potential.
The Kauffman Campuses initiative seeks to transform the way colleges and universities make college entrepreneurship education available across their campuses, enabling any student, regardless of field of study, to access entrepreneurial training.
Recently they announced a unique pilot program in collaboration with a university in Singapore, selected scholars with backgrounds in engineering, science, or technology will have the opportunity to better understand and excel in the global marketplace.
Starting at May, the Kauffman Foundation will send five students to study entrepreneurship at Singapore’s leading science and technology university, Nanyang Technical University. The Foundation will provide tuition, room and board, and travel expenses for the selected scholars.
